Why I Started Jarvis Creations: The Case for the AI-Augmented Studio
A year ago, I was building software full-time for my own ventures: a custom home services dashboard, a fishing retail site, a daily Caribbean publication, a couple of trading bots. Each one started as a hack to solve a problem in my own business. Each one ended up looking suspiciously like the kind of product an agency would have charged $50,000 to build over six months.
Eventually, friends and friends-of-friends started asking the same question: "Could you build that for us?" Not "could you tell me how" — they wanted the thing itself. They had real businesses, real budgets, and zero patience for the traditional agency timeline of "discovery phase" → "design comps" → "stakeholder review" → "first developer commit eight weeks in." They needed working software in a couple of weeks, not Figma mockups in a couple of months.
The math that changed everything
Here's what happened in 2024-2025 that nobody on the agency side wants to admit out loud: AI tooling cut software delivery time by 40-60%. Not by a little. By a lot. A senior developer paired with Claude or GPT-5 ships features at roughly 2-3x their previous velocity, with fewer bugs, because the AI catches the dumb mistakes before they make it into review.
The agencies haven't repriced. They still bill $20,000 for a marketing site that takes one engineer two weeks. The freelancers on Upwork still charge $1,500 because they don't have the senior judgment to know what to leave out. The middle was empty.
What we are
Jarvis Creations is a small studio that fills that gap. Senior engineering judgment, AI-augmented delivery speed, transparent pricing, fixed scope. You get a working product in 2-6 weeks instead of 4-6 months, and you pay 30-50% of what an agency would quote for the same outcome.
The portfolio you see on this site is partly client work and partly our own ventures. We use everything we sell — the AI chats, the dashboards, the trading bots, the email automations — to run our own businesses. When we recommend something to a client, it's because we've already validated it on ourselves.
What we're not
We're not an agency. We don't have account managers, six-month timelines, or junior developers learning on your dollar. We don't subcontract overseas. We don't ghost after launch. We're not Upwork. We turn down projects we don't think will succeed, even when the budget is there. And we don't take payment until each milestone is delivered and approved.
The bet we're making
Small businesses deserve agency-quality software without the agency price tag, the agency timeline, or the agency baggage. AI lets us deliver exactly that — and we'd rather build a studio around the bet than wait for someone else to.
This blog is where we'll share what we're learning along the way. Pricing breakdowns. Architecture decisions. Lessons from production. The good, the bad, and the parts of the work nobody else writes about.
